Sadly, due to the outbreak of COVID-19 the British APL Association has had to postpone our inaugural Mini Conference planned the 27th March 2020. It also it became obvious that we were also going to be unable to continue the monthly live meetings we have been holding for over twelve years now.
In order to keep things alive during COVID-19 “lock-down” we will be holding a series of regular webinars. The plan is to follow the following format:
- Hold a bi-weekly Zoom webinar starting Thursday afternoon on the 9th of April
- Start time 15:00 UTC or 16:00 BST if you prefer
- Duration 45 minute presentation followed 15 min Q&A
- Record the session and subsequently publish it on BAA’s YouTube account.
We will be starting with those presentations planned for the March mini conference and the purpose of this email is to ask those concerned if they can agree to the following schedule:
Date | Time | Topic | Presenter |
---|---|---|---|
April 9th | 16:00-BST (15:00-UTC) | Molecular Dynamics-in-APL | Richard Park – Dyalog |
April 23rd | 16:00-BST (15:00-UTC) | Introducing qWC Alpha 0.4 | MJH Software Services |
May 7th | 16:00-BST (15:00-UTC) | Meet the new APL Wiki | Adám Brudzewsky – Dyalog |
May 21st | 16:00-BST (15:00-UTC) | Acre source-code manager update | Phil Last |
The full schedule will be published on the BAA Webinar Schedule for 2020 . This schedule will be subject to updates as we fill the forthcoming slots. And each event will be announced ahead if time in an email similar to this.
We would also like to invite anyone who like to present at one of these sessions to contact the events organizer at [email protected] .
